He always provides.

God provided $10,000 for our adoption!!! An extremely generous couple followed the Lord's call to help us by donating this crazy amount of money. Needless to say, Paul and I have no words for this act of kindness. All we can do is praise Jesus that He is constantly showing us mercy and moving in our lives. WHAT A BLESSING!!! We have also set up our first home study visit for Dec. 7th and are beginning to gather documents for our Dossier. I'm very happy that school will be over in 2 weeks and I will be able to focus my attention on getting some of this paperwork going. More to come when school ends! =)

Where does all this money go, you ask?

This is based on 1 child...There are additional expenses should we be referred 2 children.. So our goal ($40,000) is for 2 children.

Due before May 2012:

Application fee- $250 (paid)
First Installment of Program fee- $1,500 (paid)
Home Study- $1,800 (paid)
USCIS Fee and fingerprinting -$890 (paid)
Notarization, certification and Authentication -$400 (paid)
Adoptive parent training -$175 (paid)
Background check ~$100 (paid)

Due when we turn in dossier around June 2012:

2nd installment of program fee-$2,000 (paid)
Translation/ authentication- $800 (paid)
Post Adoption deposit- $1,000 (paid)
Courier fee- $150 (paid)
1st half of international fee- $5,625 (paid)

Due when we receive the referral for our children

International specialist consultation- $400
3rd installment of program fee- $1,500
2nd half of international fee- $5,625
Post adoption administration fee- $385

Due when we travel to go meet our children the first time

Airfare- $4,000
In-country stay- $2,500
Visas- $40

Due when we travel to go get our children

Airfare- $4,000
In-country stay- $2,500
Children's airfare- $1,000
Visas- $40
Visa/Embassy Fee- $404

Post Adoption fees

Post adoption visits- $1,200
Post adoption visit travel fees- $200
Doctor Visits, social security cards, passport, postage-$1,000
Re-adoption in U.S.- $400

Total ~ $40,000

We still need about $4,000 if we receive a referral for 1 child. If we receive a referral for 2 children, we will need about $12,000.
